True, the airline's name is not from the Great Lakes most of us know. But it still had plenty to do with the region after purchasing Alliance Airlines.

My little brother worked at Cheyenne Regional, both sides, civilian and military and introduced me to Doug Voss when Great Lakes was doing the deal to move to Wyoming. I got to hear the complete history of Spirit Lake/ Great Lakes, and I do mean COMPLETE.
