It has come to our attention that as of December, all Airlink and South African Express flights are no longer listed in the Star Alliance Timetable. The Star Alliance Timetable is primarily used for South African Virtual operations, although it will no longer be used for Airlink and Express operations.
Star Alliance and the two airlines decided to remove the flights because neither airline is part of the Star Alliance, although we are confused as to why the airlines have taken their schedules off now and not before. The relationship between South African Airways and its regional partners remains unchanged from before the change occurred.
As a result, we are offering the South African Timetable for Airlink and Express flights. Both timetables are available at the Flights page at South African Virtual. Because the South African Timetable lists EQV (equipment variable) for many mainline flights, the Star Alliance Timetable should continue to be used for South African Airways flights.
Again, the Star Alliance Timetable should be used for South African Airways flights, and the South African Timetable for Airlink and Express flights.
