Screenshots - Submission

Submitting a Screenshot
Screenshots should be submitted to screenshots@simairline.net and include the following information:
-pilot's name
-aircraft type
-location (if over Australia/Brazil/Canada/U.S., please indicate the province/state/territory)

Screenshots must be in JPG format and contain aircraft from a valid virtual airline or codeshare flight of SimAirline.net. Not all screenshots will be added to the website. Upon submission, screenshots become the property of SimAirline.net.

Recommendations
For better-quality screenshots, we recommend the following:
-Set the flight simulator to "full screen" mode.
-Pause the simulator before taking your screenshot(s).
-Take the screenshot when on-screen messages (pause and/or parking brakes) aren't flashing, and don't let objects from outside the simulator picture into your screenshot (including the Flight Simulator title bar).
-Include the entire aircraft in the screenshot, and let the aircraft take up most of the screen.
-Use your best-looking aircraft.
-Increase all of the display settings to maximum.
-Take multiple screenshots during each flight, from several different angles.
-Include at least part of the engines and wings on the opposite side of the aircraft from where the screenshot is taken.
-Do not hide any of the airline titles and the logo on the tail.
-Landing gears should be all up or all down, not in transit.
-Avoid cutting off part of an airline's logo or titles.
-If possible, please crop your screenshots to remove the border surrounding it.

Screenshot Manager Instructions
If you do not have a quality graphics program, we recommend downloading Screenshot Manager, by FS Design Berlin. The program takes and saves screenshots automatically without having to use a commercial program.

1. When you run the program the first time, you need to set some defaults as follows:
-Set the default image type to either *.jpg.
-Set the default folder where all screenshots will be saved.

2. Select your options for “Auto Save” and “Run on Startup”.
-“Auto-save” automatically saves the image in the default folder, with the default image type as soon as the user presses “Print Screen” on the keyboard.
-“Run on Startup” automatically runs the program when Windows starts up

3. While the program is running, it should be set to on.
-On (default): The program is active and automatically pastes the image from the clipboard as soon as the user presses “Print Screen” on the keyboard.

4. If the “Auto Save” option is turned off, there is a button called “Save Screenshot”.  When you select this, the screenshot is saved in the default folder with the default image type.

5. A default name for the screenshot can be set as well. If the default name is “simairline”, then the first screenshot is called “simairline1”, the second screenshot is called “simairline2”, and so on. If the program is restarted, the sequence continues without restarting.
