Hey, sorry I havent been on for a while...
Ive got good news, I have my new system up and running, and Ive already overclocked the processor to 3.24GHz, with plans to go further.
I orgininally planned to Sli two XFX GTS250 1GB core editions together, but ive had trouble finding another one (Im already running one GTS250), my question is, could I SLi a XFX gts250 1GB with say a PNY GTS250 1GB?
Thanks!
Nick

Re: SLi?
It is possible to do that, although it is recommended that both cards are identical in every way. In the same way that you can SLi 2 different 8*** cards, and have them both run at the slowest card's speed.
Are both these cards you are looking at the same speed (ie without factory overclocks)?

Nick

Re: SLi?
You're probably going to have instability if the cards are not identical, that's not to say the brand matters, it shouldn't, as long as the specs are the same.
700Mhz GPU and a 730MHz is probably going to cause a problem.
I'd also probably start off without overclocking the cards, try SLi and see how it goes from there, then try overclocking.
Anyone know if SLi/CrossFire actually works with FS9/FSX? I've heard it doesn't because it's unsupported by the software but haven't conducted a lot of research on it.

Re: SLi?
I think it works better if you are gaming on very high resolution monitors (minimum of 1920x1200 and even bigger). I am guessing that newer games (FSX) should be able to make use of the extra card more effectively.
