I was just wondering where I could get a pic for a signature. I can find one, and if I do it is way to fuzzy for it. How can I fix this, and where can I find a good one.

Be careful where you get your pics from online. Some photographers are extremely picky about allowing their photos to be used. Granted, the chances of someone seeing their pic in your signature banner on our message boards is very small, but still. It's a good idea to ask for permission before you copy someone's photo. Let them know that you just want it for personal use and there shouldn't be a problem.

As for where to find them, a simple internet search for aircraft pictures will turn up millions of results. You can also look around on airliners.net and other gathering places for spotters.

That's what I do but when I resize them. They are very fuzzy and jagged.

The one that I found was an NWA a330 and I set it to the standard 600x200. But it didn't turn out correct

That's because you're squashing your photo. You need to crop it to the ratio of 3:1 (which is the same as 600:200) and then you can resize the photo. And when you resize you need to make sure that the proportions are kept the same. In GIMP I think there's a little chain that needs to be linked up on the resize screen, although I'm not sure.

Yes, you're right. When resizing in GIMP, there's a little chain thing just to the right of the height/width dimensions. Make sure that chain isn't broken, and no matter what you do to adjust the image, it will keep the same proportions.

Learned that while working on my fictional paint scheme. Give me a couple months and I'll be painting real paint schemes.

What I do is just start off with a blank 600x200 template and go from there since anything that is larger than that would be cut off.
