These are my comp specs. Are they good enough to play fsx decently, or should i stick with fs2004?
Intel Pentium dual CPU E2200 2,20 Ghz
Vista 32-bit
Nvidea 9300 GE
4 GB RAM

That is somewhat similar to what I am currently using to run FSX. You should be able to operate without too much trouble, but you won't be able to max out your graphics.

4GB 930MHz SDRAM
nVidia XFX GeForce 8500GT 1GB
Windows xp 32-bit sp3
i can run FSX under mid graphics at 20-24FPS with FSX Acelleration
but i can run FS2004 on full graphics for the same.
yours should be able to perform or even out-perform my system.

FS only really uses one core, so 2.2GHz will be quite slow. The GPU is not the quickest, but it should run FS9 well enough. I would avoid going to FSX, even if it does make use of 2 cores.
