When I was in Newark for the farewell event I believe Aaron said his brother was
flying MD11's. I should have asked him what routes he was flying.

Ok, I know he at least used to be flying 747's.

He was not on board, but someone else's relatives were, sadly. I was out of the country at the time and very worried when I heard it. My brother is flying the same flight any day now.

Glad to hear Aaron, though you're right, it's a shame to see this happen regardless.

My dad's close call was in 1983 (KAL007), and my brother's this year. I wonder what my fate will be...

Just confirmed with him, he flew the very next flight on the route.

It must have been nerve racking (thought time will tell what caused the crash). I give your brother a lot of credit.Aaron Robinson wrote:Just confirmed with him, he flew the very next flight on the route.

Re: UPS 744 Crash in Dubai
Update- Apparently the flight was full of lithium batteries. Expect tighter regulation of them in the future. Sidenote- I managed to stop by the memorial in the flight crew weather room at SDF, and it was very nice. Your lives were not lost in vain.

Didn't know you were in town. I'll have to try and check that out someday.detpilot wrote:Sidenote- I managed to stop by the memorial in the flight crew weather room at SDF, and it was very nice. Your lives were not lost in vain.
