Flying online

When flying online on VATSIM, do I need to fly the flight exactly at the same time as it does in real life? For example, if it departs at 6AM do I need to be in front of my computer at 6AM, flying it?

No. The time you have your simulator set to when flying online is immaterial. The only concern is that you have the same weather conditions as everyone else that is flying online. So make sure you are using real world weather with updates or, better yet, the weather provided by VATSIM. The real world time when you are performing the flight doesn't matter. Just have the simulator set to the correct time.

Thanks, again! Now that Sqawkbox 4 is released, I can finally fly online and I had that doubt, so thanks for answering it.
