Aircraft textures

Post by Nick Cserny »

Hi, I am new here. If I want to fly a B747, say for Virgin. Have this aircraft on my FS but not in Virgin colors. Do I have to download the colors for Virgin or can use the default 747 to fly the route?

You should download the Virgin textures. You can get them at the Virgin Atlantic-->Fleet-->Boeing 747-400 page. The textures there are most likely for the Project OpenSky 744, not for the default 744. Just download the POSKY model (which may be included on the Fleet page), and you are all good to go!

Ideally you'd want to use the correct colors. However, if that is not possible for some reason, flying the correct aircraft in different colors is acceptable as long as you are using the correct callsign.

Thanks for your replies and advices. Now it makes sense, except the constant changing of textures. :)
