The only thing that you would be required to enter in the remarks section is if there is anything unusual about the flight that has a large impact on the flight, such as a diversion. In that case you would want to include any pertinent information in the PIREP (including arrival and departure times at a diversion airport). I have also in the past used the remarks section to note any failures or emergencies in flight, though these are not visible in your logbook (hint, nudge, wink), and most likely will not have a bearing on whether your PIREP is accepted or not.

Keep in mind that there is nothing wrong with having a PIREP kicked back to you. You'll get an email from Aaron letting you know what the problem is with the PIREP, and in most cases it's a very simple fix. However, if you have any doubt about a PIREP being accepted, use the remarks field to add in anything you think may clarify the situation.

To add to what Tim said, diversions are one thing to put on remarks as are explanations to why a flight was too early/late or if you flew that same flight several times.

Also, if you find that you've made a mistake in your PIREP, immediately file a new PIREP and note in the comments that you’re filing a corrected version. Then Aaron will delete the incorrect version.
