That Air Canada DC9 did NOT crash... it was a fire on-board, but it did land safely. It caught completely on fire once it landed.

Oh... also... today my friend is going to Spain for Spring Session at our school, so I told him to take one from Iberia for me. I don't know whether he'll remember, or whether he will do it at all... but hopefully I can start my collection.

In NWADC9's Dictionary of the Engrish Language:
Crash=Accident

Now THAT'S something I collect. I'd have more if authorities in PR didn't remove them before exiting the airport terminal.

For the tags that are offered at the ticket counter, grab a couple-one for the bag (if you wish), and the rest for whatever. They don't care.

Just got news that my aunt is coming today. She's an FA for Copa... I'll ask her about it being legal or not... AND of course, I'll ask her to get me a new spankin' safety card for their 737.

Don't forget the E195! And if you already have it...get a new one. And send it to me!

Fair enough.. Well the Airline Safety cards do have "Please Do Not Remove from Aircraft" Written on them.. But i don't think it's illegal, mayby they could pin us for taking Airline Property? anyway..

I've only got 1 safety card, quite a rare one now (from the 80's).

Philippine Airlines Short's 360-300 - "Special Sunriser Edition"

Hehehe, this little fleet of Short's used to fly island hops back in the 80's for PAL.. Mum started out on these routes and kept a few.. No longer flown or operated to this day, the Sunriser Fleet is mainly converted into Fedex haulers.

As an airline employee, this concerns me somewhat. It disrupts the preflight process for the flight attendant, costs the company extra money to print more, and could someday be contributing to someone's death. Not to mention the fact that it is stealing, regardless of the size.

I am a fan of Immanuel Kant's categorical imperatives. Part of this talks about what is right and what is wrong. If there's ever a question about if an action is right or wrong, the approach to answering the question is simple: if everyone else did this action, would the world be a better place or a worse place?

Some of you mention that 'it gets checked anyways.' Does the magnitude justify the act? If I'm in first class, does that justify me taking some branded silverware or a glass? To put it in media terms, is it all right to pirate software or movies?

Please, please, please, for yourself and for the employees that serve you, just ask the flight attendants for a new one in the galley while cruising. You'll be happier, they'll be happier, and the airline will be happier.

Have to agree with Aaron although a question though is how many people really read it minus those at the exits who must because A FA stands there and watch you read them?

When there's a real emergency, I bet the safety card turns into the New York Times Best Seller in a heartbeat

Unfortunately I don't think most people's mind is going to jump to safety cards, more than likely it'll move straight to their loved ones and "omg I'm gonna die"

Those few (like myself) that never panic will probably read them though.

TO BRING THIS THREAD BACK ON TOPIC...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=003
These UPS safety cards from the pax carrier days always taunt me on eBay. They appear out of nowhere, and, also out of nowhere, bidders do their thing left and right. I'm not paying $8.50 for glorified card stock. Maybe next time, someone will forget about it and I can snatch it up at a more reasonable price (yeah right).

There's one card I just might bid on, but to avoid you nincompoops from raining on my parade, I'm not tellin' ya :winking:
