Re: Logbook Exporting
It'd be great to have an export of the Logbooks.
I have my own great logbook in Word with a big table that I keep updated, but it's only all my non-SimAirline flights. Too many to put over manually.
Never managed to get Excel to do what I wanted with the logbook and inserting pretty logos.

Re: Logbook Exporting
Now that I'm done with my A320 recurrent training and what follows.
I've managed to get a chance to look into the issue. An initial thought I got, is to export the current logbook as a text file and then import it from Excel. This, however, removes a lot of formatting, so, I'm looking more into it, and into the excel file format itself to make it as simple as possible for you to just click a button and it does the whole thing for you.
More into that over the weekend

Re: Logbook Exporting
UPDATE!!
I managed to download the entire logbook with its current formatting to an excel file. However, when the file is opened in Excel I get an error saying that it's not the same format as specified, however, the file opens normally.
Unfortunately, I cannot export images along with the file, so, instead of the VAs' logo there will be just the VA short name, I will however try to make it the normal name for the VA not the short name.
I'll look more into it, however, expect a button "Export logbook" in your control panel in the very near future

Re: Logbook Exporting
Guys, I need feedback for that..
I haven't been able to find a way to avoid the error message when Excel opens, but it still works and the logbook is fully exported.
I am running short in time as company operations are starting soon, and will be very busy with line training and studying!
Shall I put the export button and have it export this way? I works after all.
Aaron??

Re: Logbook Exporting
Ali, sounds great.
I suggest having the export button on the Control Panel only, not on the Logbook itself. That way individuals can export their own logbooks only.
Thank you,

Yes, of course..
Only the user will be able to export their own logbook.

Re: Logbook Exporting
Excellent job, Ali.
Finally my logbook will have created itself, with a little help.
No longer will I have the task ahead of manually adding my old SimAirline flights.
Thanks!

Re: Logbook Exporting
The logbook exporting module is ready for upload. However, I'm unable to connect to the server to upload it for some reason.
Aaron? I have sent you an email regarding that.
