This news is a bit of a shock. I didn't relize there were Union problems although now that I think
about it sense. Air Canada went through the same thing when they took over Canadian Airlines but
they managed to work things out. I hope for the sake of Alitalia that someone else will want to buy it.
I went throught the same thing with a motor coach company that I worked for The Union decided
that it was more important to make a stand than try to negotiate and the deal feel through and 200 people lost thier jobs .
When no one else showed any intrest. The union tried to go back to the deal but the company that wanted to take over the company said they wanted no part of our union.
This shouldn't have been a surprise.Aaron Robinson wrote:Hardly. We've reached this level before, but there are still union and government issues to sort out too. The latter is especially interesting, given upcoming national elections.capewellavc wrote:Thank god it's all over!
