The last flight yesterday was a Cirrus flight to Mannheim EDFM (which is some 700m away from my office where I am sitting now).

thats a big shame indeed.....

I remember voting/petition to keep it alive. Its good though that the last few birds out of Tempelhof where those classics, the Ju 52 and DC-3, just like the old days.

530,000 votes against it, but it looks like it will now just be a monument of the old days, no longer seeing any action.

I hear they are still unsure of what to do with the facilities (of course other than the obvious tourist attraction possibilties). I suggest a annual Tempelhof Air show!! , that would be cool. Classics only!

Yeah, a classic piece of history disappearing is always a total shame. Sad to see it!

Make the terminal an aviation museum, with plenty of WWI and WWII classics inside...
