While impressive, I've never really been a fan of the McPhat repaints. They always over-weather the aircraft.

Just take a look at their Emirates A380 paint. The thing had literally just been rolled out of the paintshop, yet theirs looked like it'd just been on a 6 month deployment to Bagram air base.

I've been following your articles, and I find them fascinating.

Makes it even sadder that it's all coming to an end.

Another thing is that FSX is as dead as FS9 is, seeing as MS have canned flight sim altogether, so attracting new customers shouldn't be one of their reasons for making FSX-only stuff.

This is aimed at all those FSX users. I downloaded and tried the demo of FSX and I get about 60 FPS over open ocean and about 30 FPS at TNCM with Traffic cranked up to 100%. Aircraft was the default Baron 58. My FSX settings are as follows :

I don't understand how, financially, it makes any sense whatsoever to ignore FS9 users, when they probably account for over 50% of simmers.

They're basically not interested in upping their potential profits by 50%+

So which 757 did you go for in the end?

The general consensus on the QW 757 is that it's a good addon, if you want to be in the air quickly, with a nice model and VC to look at, and good FPS, however the systems simulation isn't as complex as on the PSS.

As for the POSky model, I have to say that I much prefer Captainsim's, but the QW ...

I would avoid Double Eagle AEGs.

They're classed as 'Chinese airsoft' for a reason (not only because they're made in China).

They're cheap, they feel cheap and they perform cheap.

False economy.

If you buy the Justflight 757 (Captainsim one), you get all the blocks plus the cargo model.

Typically, they released it just a matter of days after I'd forked out separate payments for the different models, from the Captainsim site.


P.S. Has anyone merged the qualitywings 757 with the PSS anel ...

Yeah more often than not I get "ATC services terminated blablabla..." because I ignore FS ATC's vectors. I end up just tuning tower when I'm near enough my destination and getting clearance to land from them.

As for Radar Contact, I've never tried it. Is it any good?
