Video card upgrade...
So, I am considering upgrading from an ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro to an ATI Radeon 9800 Pro. Is anyone familiar with the 9800, by any chance?

Re: POSKY releases 747-8F!
Thanks, Dennis. I'll have to see if that helps (though I'm not sure when I'll be flying a 747 again
).

Re: POSKY releases 747-8F!
If the ground handling for POSKY's 744s is realistic, then they must have really missed the mark on all of their other models. If the aircraft will not turn with steering only unless ground speed is under two knots (and even then the turn rate is ridiculously slow and you are likely to end up in the...

Re: POSKY releases 747-8F!
Anyone know if the ground handling in FSX is better than their 744's?

Re: CO 767-400 Vs. DL a330?
Personally, if I'm going to fly to Europe I would try to go on BA, KLM, or Lufthansa. Just my two cents.
If CO and DL are the only two options, I am somewhat partial to CO, though I haven't flown on one of their 764s.

Re: Exporting Logbooks
Thanks, Ali! Unfortunately it doesn't work very well in Open Office. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when I try to open files that are pretty much html tables, all I get is the html code, it doesn't actually create a spreadsheet. Of course, I can just plug it into a browser and I get the tabl...

Re: Interesting Routings?
Sorry to bring this post back up, but I just beat my previous record for following a single airway for the longest distance. I flew AFR279 from Narita to De Gaulle, and when I entered Russian airspace at IGROD, I started following airway A333 (and did the whole conversion to metric cruise altitudes,...

152 dead in Pakistan's worst aviation incident
This is stunning. It appears to have been a case where the pilots were not paying attention to where they were and lost track of their position and altitude. My thoughts are with the family members who must now wait for DNA testing and the results of the investigation before they can get any answers...

Re: PAirbus a380 at last!
Big question: Did they get the thrust reversers right? In the A380 models I have flown previously, they had all four engines with thrust reversers instead of just 2&3.

Re: US delivers yet again
Already on my dividend miles I'm up to nearly 8K (don't ask. I still don't know how) and still waiting to be credited for the miles flown yesterday. Great writeup. Sounds like US treated you pretty well on this trip (except for the baggage issues at the end). Your question about miles sounds a bit ...

Blech. Makes it a little bit more difficult to apply my methodology for choosing flights to their schedule, but I think I found a way to work around it.

British Airways Timetable
Does anyone know if BA has stopped releasing a PDF timetable? I can't seem to locate one on their website. If they do still have one, could someone please let me know where I can find it?

Some very good shots, there.
I'm not too fond of the Gulf Air climbout one though. There is no visual reference with the aircraft in the clouds. Just my opinion.

Re: SimAirline.net Farewell Event Planning
I am actually looking into renting a car and driving up to NY, since that would be a little cheaper than flying. I also realized last week that I have relatives that live in that area, so I may be able to stay with them (unfortunately I doubt they would want to host anyone else since they have sever...

I'm not one to drool over scenery packages much, but this brand new one for the bay area is simply stunning.

I will certainly be happy to answer any questions you might have about VPA, just don't take it as gospel since I am not a member of the management there. :) Decker, sorry to hear that VPA didn't fit what you were looking for. You are more than welcome to return in the future if your FS needs change....

Re: Vista has let me down for the last time
I am not aware of any conflicts. I don't use media player. The only thing I use to watch video or listen to music is VLC, and that never caused any issues with iTunes in Vista. Of course, that's no guarantee.

Re: Vista has let me down for the last time
The only snag I have run into so far is that iTunes stops responding whenever I connect my iPod to the computer to sync it. I don't think that is a Windows 7 problem though, or I'm sure I would have heard about it long before now.
