Message from Aaron
4 November 2006
To All Of Our Pilots,
After filling all of our critical management
positions at the end of the month and meeting one of our operational goals,
I'm pleased to announce that construction on Pan American Virtual will
begin this month. Following Pan American, the next virtual airline in expansion
is Frontier Airlines, which will require the same goals (as described on
the Statistics
page) to be met.
With the recent release of FS X, our management
is working on testing our downloads for compatibility with the new simulator.
We will be updating our aircraft pages to include information on simulator
compatibility over the next few months.
New Monthly Records
I'm pleased to report that Alitalia Virtual
set a new record for PIREPs last month with 152 flights. The previous record
was 132, and made Alitalia our fourth busiest virtual airline in October.
Management Hiring
Although all our required positions are
filled, more management is always important to ensure our future success.
We are currently hiring for the positions of Aircraft Developer, Scenery
Developer, Interim VA Manager, and British Airways Manager. More information
on each of these positions is available
here.
Contributions
Update
We're closing in
on our contributions goal of $1000 (U.S.) for 2006. So far we have raised
$893.00, but we need your help to make sure that SimAirline.net has a strong
financial future. Please consider contributing
here.
Virtual Airline
of the Month - Virtual British Airways
The featured virtual
airline for November is Virtual
British Airways, our largest European virtual airline. Our U.K. members
have always been among our strongest supporters, and SimAirline.net is
proud to be offering the flights of the country's largest airline. More
information on British Airways, including selected screenshots, can be
found here.
I hope you enjoy
the newest addition to SimAirline.net, Pan American Virtual, when it opens.
I think you'll be very excited about some of the new features we will offer
in our most global virtual airline yet.
