1 December 2005
To All Of Our Pilots,

A few days ago, we successfully transitioned to a new website host. Although some parts of SimAirline.net are not online at this time (only old screenshots), the process is effectively complete. The change was made partially because of cheaper and more reliable hosting, but primarily so we can implement our new and advanced roster system in the coming months. However, we did lose some data: all PIREPs submitted between 2000 GMT 27 November and 2100 GMT 28 November were lost and need to be resubmitted. I apologize for this inconvenience. To make amends for the data loss, we will be opening Varig Virtual in the near future, hopefully later this month.

In addition, we ask our pilots to fill out a survey every month so we can see how well we are running SimAirline.net and what we can do to improve. I'd appreciate it if you took the time to fill our the 2005 Annual Survey so we can provide an even better flightsimming experience for you. As always, results will be available once the survey is closed at the end of December.

Online ATC Training Program Begins this Month
Our online ATC training program begins this month. The training program will instruct pilots on how to fly with online ATC to VATSIM standards, with the eventual goal to resume SimAirline.net's participation in fly-ins and other online events. More information is available here.

Management Hiring
SimAirline.net is currently hiring for seven management positions: Aircraft Developer, AOM Fleet Manager, British Airways Fleet Manager, Delta Fleet Manager, Sabena Fleet Manager, Scenery Developer, and Virgin Fleet Manager. Five of these positions are required before we will expand to include Thai Virtual. If you are interested in any of these positions, you can learn more here.

SimAirline.net to add CSA Codeshare Flights
Alitalia Virtual, Delta Virtual, KLM Virtual, and Korean Air Virtual will begin codesharing with CSA Czech Airlines Virtual in the coming weeks. Four new destinations and seventeen new routes (all to Prague) will be available when the agreement takes effect.

Virtual Airline of the Month - KLM Virtual
This month's featured virtual airline is KLM Virtual, one of our first virtual airlines. More information on KLM Virtual, including selected screenshots, can be found here.

World Tour - Airbus
This month's World Tour will focus on Airbus Industrie aircraft. The fifteen largest Airbus fleets at SimAirline.net are all represented in this month's tour.

2005 has been another outstanding year for SimAirline.net, and thank you for being a part of that success. Please remember to fill out our Annual Survey so we can make 2006 even better.
