1 July 2004
To All Of Our Pilots,
Summer is the most successful time of the
year for the real airlines, and the same holds true for SimAirline.net.
We reversed our gradual four-month decline in pilots with strong growth
and record retention levels (more pilots filed for inactivity then were
idle for the first time ever) and welcomed our newest virtual airline,
South
African Virtual. Thanks to your help in reaching our monthly goals
for June, we will be opening our sixteenth virtual airline, Emirates Virtual,
within the next few days. If we complete this month's goals, our next virtual
airline will be Alitalia Virtual.
Logo Contest
We have decided that SimAirline.net is
in need of a logo in addition to our current logotype, so we are holding
a contest open to all pilots to design a logo for us to use. For more information,
please go here.
Management Hiring
We currently have an opening for the position
of Sabena Fleet Manager. Further information about the position is available
here.
Round-The World Flight
Ali Abou-Zeid has planned a round-the-world
flight involving each of our sixteen virtual airlines. For more information,
please go here.
Pacific Island Aviation
We will finally be adding Pacific Island
Aviation to our Northwest Airlink operations this month. PIA flies Shorts
360s within the Mariana Islands.
After starting the year slowly, we've reached
our monthly goals each of the last three months. Congratulations to you
for helping make that possible. We have decided that we will be having
a 2005 Operations Plan for adding virtual airlines, and we have nearly
finalized a list of those airlines which will be announced once the airlines
on the 2004 plan are added. Thank you for your continued support in helping
SimAirline.net expand its global reach and to offer you and other pilots
a better flightsimming experience.
