To All Of Our Pilots,

Breaking organizational records is becoming a common practice here at SimAirline.net. So what did we accomplish this past month? We opened our latest virtual airline and set new highs in the following areas: flight hours, total pilots (we filled over 98% of the currently available roster spots), new pilots, flying pilots, and PIREPs. Three of our virtual airlines (Concorde, Delta, and Sabena) also broke previous highs for operations, a further sign of good things to come.

ANA Virtual Opens
ANA Virtual, our eleventh virtual airline, opened on July 6 just four days after being announced, becoming the first Asian-based carrier of SimAirline.net. Flights of not just ANA were included, but also of ANA Cargo and Nippon Cargo Airlines, the sixth-largest cargo airline in the world. ANA itself is the sixteenth-largest airline worldwide, and ANA Virtual should be a strong addition to our organization.

"How to Fly IFR with VATSIM"
In response to poor participation at our fly-ins, our Events Coordinator has created a training module to help pilots learn how to fly online using VATSIM. The training module is available through the Downloads section. We plan to resume fly-ins shortly with an event at Newark. Should our fly-ins not have good attendance though, we may have to discontinue them once more.

Concorde Flights to Expand Soon
Additional destinations for Concorde Virtual will be available soon. Extensive research has been undertaken to determine past schedules of Concorde routes. We expect these new flights to be available later this month. Additional destinations will include Bahrain, Rio de Janeiro, and Washington, among others.

Virtual Airline Expansion Halted
SimAirline.net has decided to halt its expansion at eleven virtual airlines for the foreseeable future. For the full reasons of this decision, and to offer your feedback, please visit this topic in our Message Boards.

More Management Needed
SimAirline.net is always in need of more management staff, and we are currently hiring for the following positions: Aircraft Developer - U.S., ANA Fleet Manager, Sabena Fleet Manager, Virgin Fleet Manager, and Panels Manager. If you are interested, please go here. Please note that, as explained in the link from the previous paragraph, we can not expand our operations unless we have more management to fill our existing needs.

Scenery Section Expanding
The scenery area of our Downloads section is expanding quickly, with numerous airports being added every week. Please take a look at what we've added. We expect to have scenery for all our hubs available by the end of the month, and major destinations available soon after.

Terminal Maps Coming Soon
In order to make sure that pilots are using the proper terminals from our main airports, we will be adding numerous terminal maps over the coming months to our Downloads section. While not all of our destinations can have terminal maps, those with significant operations will receive the maps. A list of airports that we expect to have maps for is currently available.

Personal Travel
I will be flying on Northwest later this month and hope to meet pilots at airports that I visit during my trip. If you are interested in setting up a meeting at these airports, please let me know:
-Detroit (DTW): August 18
-Portland (PDX): August 24
-Minneapolis/St. Paul: August 25

I encourage you to contact me or any of our management staff at any time with your thoughts on improving our organization. Let's improve SimAirline.net even more.
