Message from Aaron
3 March 2003
To All Of Our Pilots,
February, like January, was one of our
best months ever. We set new highs for total pilots, PIREPs, tied last
month's record for new pilots, and had the second most flight hours in
our history. Much of this growth was spurred by the addition of Delta Virtual,
our ninth virtual airline.
First Fly-In Planned
SimAirline.net will be hosting its first
fly-in on March 15, at Newark Liberty International Airport. Details
are available here.
A location for our second event, near the end of the month, has not yet
been finalized, but it will be a major European airport. We hope to begin
organizing real-life pilot meetings for April.
New Management Staff
The following pilots recently joined our
management team, or took on additional responsibilities:
Kyle Bissell - Alaska Fleet Manager
Corey Ford: Aircraft Developer - U.S.
Andrew Haenisch: Virgin Fleet Manager
Bryan O'Donnell: Continental Fleet Manager
Peter Tsouratakis: Delta Fleet Manager
David Velez: Events Coordinator
Flying Tigers Deal Called Off
Flying Tigers withdrew their proposal
to combinine operations with SimAirline.net last month, and discussion
on the subject in our Message
Boards has died down.
Two Management Positions for Hire
We still need to fill the position of
Scenery Manager and Sabena Fleet Manager. If you are interested in either
of these positions, please go here.
The position requires fewer than five hours per week, less than the average
time spent by a pilot flying each month.
Downloads Section Opens
Our Downloads
section opened late last month, and contains useful programs, utilities,
and other add-ons. Airport scenery is being added, and charts and hub information
are also being planned.
SimAirline.net grows stronger every month.
Thank you for continuing to be part of our organization, and making it
stronger every day. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions
or comments.
