To All Of Our Pilots,
October was an excellent rebound month
from the previous month. Not only was it better in nearly all operational
figures, but we set new highs in Total Pilots, Applications, New Pilots,
Flying Pilots, and PIREPs. Alaska Airlines Virtual, Delta Virtual, and
the Virgin Blue operations also set new operational highs.
Concorde Makes Final Flight, Special
Fly-In Considered
Concorde made its final commercial flight
on October 24, but Concorde Virtual will continue full operations. We are
currently looking at the possibility of a fly-in with British and French
virtual ATC in the near future.
New Codeshares Under Negotiation
At this time, we are examining the possibility
of codeshare partnerships with as many as six other virtual airlines. We
currently only have a codeshare agreement with El Al - A Virtual Airline,
but we hope to expand our offerings in the near future.
ANA Cargo, Northwest Cargo Schedules
Temporarily Removed
Due to the transition from Daylight Saving
Time, the cargo schedules for ANA and Northwest have been temporarily removed
due to their not being valid anymore. They will be returned shortly, but
until then, these flights may not be flown. They will return sooner if
a new Schedules Manager is found.
Pacific Island Aviation Delayed
Our intentions of adding the operations
of Pacific Island Aviation
to Northwest Virtual have been delayed. However, we do expect these operations
to be added within the next month.
Management Hiring
We are currently hiring for four management
positions: Aircraft Developer, Sabena Fleet Manager, Scenery Manager, and
Schedules Manager. If you are interested in appying, please go here.
Most do not require a significant time committment.
Recap of New Virtual Airline Policy
Over the past few weeks, I've received
several communications suggesting new virtual airlines for SimAirline.net.
If you have not already, please read our
policy on this issue, and feel free to leave feedback on it.
Personal Travel
I will be flying on Continental from Minneapolis-St.
Paul to Washington National through Cleveland on November 25. If you wish
to meet up with me in Minneapolis-St. Paul or Cleveland, then please contact
me and let me know.
