To All Of Our Pilots,
This past month was a regression for us,
but one that was expected. Historically, SimAirline.net has always been
busier during the summer months, and this year was no exception. However,
the comparison of this September's operations figures compared to last
year's were very encouraging.
Operations Transition Successful
My move to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area
was successful, and my time unavailable was not met with any complaints.
My new location has led to less exact roster update times, so roster updates
may not be at regular times or on as regular a basis.
KLM and Air France to Merge
Air France and KLM have recently announced
their intentions to merge to create Europe's largest airline, and the world's
third-largest airline. The combined airline would maintain the separate
brands and cultural identities, but be a single company. For more information,
please read the official
press release. At this time, we have no plans to significantly alter
our KLM Virtual operations.
Pacific Blue Announced
Virgin Blue has announced Pacific
Blue, the international arm of the airline, which will operate initially
to New Zealand, but eventually to other Pacific destinations. The airline
will be added to Virgin International Airways' operations, and will begin
service on February 1.
Northwest Virtual Adds Additional Airlines
Northwest Virtual added the operations
of Big Sky Airlines this past month. The operations of Pacific Island Aviation
will be added later this month.
Management Hiring
We are still hiring for three management
positions: Aircraft Developer, ANA Fleet Manager, and Sabena Fleet Manager.
If you are interested in appying, please go here.
Trip Reports
A new section, Trip
Reports, has been added to our Message
Boards. Please post your trip experiences on our real-life counterparts
there.
As always, we're constantly looking for
new ways to improve our levels of service and offerings that make up the
SimAirline.net experience. Please feel free to contact me or the other
members of our management team about any such issues.
