To All Of Our Pilots,
Our recent slide continued in December.
I intend to focus on marketing this month at major flight simulation sites,
as well as on search engines.
Swissair-Sabena Virtual Split Up
After being considered for several weeks,
Swissair-Sabena Virtual has been split up into two separate virtual airlines,
Sabena
Virtual and Swissair
Virtual. Both VAs will remain part of SimAirline.net, but the purpose
of the breakup was to improve the prospects for marketing each, as well
as to prevent any further controversy about operating the VA with combined
operations. The Continental-KLM-Northwest Virtual Group may undergo a similar
restructuring. Restructuring this VA as well would allow for increased
popularity, as well as an opportunity to further integrate our organization.
Updated PIREP Forms
All PIREPs have now been updated to include
a drop-down menu for the destination instead of typing the airport name.
The new system allows for both faster processing and faster reporting.
Possible Combined Operations with CPAV
CPAV has proposed combining operations
with SimAirline.net. This would leave the two organizations as independent
entities, but provide SimAirline.net pilots with automated PIREPs as well
as full access to fly the flights that CPAV and its affiliate VAs offer,
which are primarily based in Asia. This topic is being discussed in our
Message
Boards.
One Management Position Open
We still need to fill the position of
Events Coordinator, which consists of arranging fly-ins with VATSIM and
helping organize real-life events, such as pilot meeting at local airports,
in cities where we have large pilot presences. If you are interested in
this position, please contact me.
Downloads Section
The planned Downloads will open in February,
and will contain necessary or highly recommended add-ons or utilities that
will improve your flight simulation experience.
Please feel free to contact me with any
questions or comments you have about our future. I'm looking forward to
what we have planned for this year.
