Message from Aaron
3 May 2002
To All Of Our Pilots,
It has been over two years since Virgin
International Airways began operations, eventually diversifying to include
the four virtual airlines we operate today. Today we are stronger than
ever before, but in order to become an even better virtual airline for
you, we will be making many positive changes to our organization.
You may have already noticed some changes,
such as the addition of SimAirline.net logos to the main pages of each
site, and the return of the poll to our website. However, we have many
more plans that will take effect this month.
Part of our self-improvement plan is the
reworking of our Pilot Manuals. In them, we make guarantees about the quality
and consistency of our service to you. They ensure high levels of service,
promise that we will continually strive to provide you with better service,
and to remain among what you consider to be the best real-based virtual
airlines in the world.
We have reopened our Message
Boards due to the recent push for its return. Pilots will now be able
to communicate with each other about our virtual airlines, flight simulation,
real world aviation, and events outside of aviation. By restoring this
important feature, we will be able to progress from a virtual airline to
an international aviation community. I strongly encourage you to visit
and use the message board.
The success of our organization will be
measured in more ways than just members and flight hours. More information
about our pilots and what flights are being flown will be included in the
Statistics
section. Beginning in June, monthly goals for each category will be set.
For every category that reaches its goal, you will receive a bonus, such
as flight hours, since each of you will have helped us reach that goal.
Bonus flight hours have already been awarded to our first Pilots of the
Month, Britton Brainard and Marcin Ziolkowski, and our first Rookie of
the Month, Robert Ayers.
Please feel free to contact me with any
questions or comments you have about the transformation we're entering.
I'm looking forward to where we're going.
