Message from Aaron
3 December 2002
To All Of Our Pilots,
November was a solid month, but not as
strong as our previous four months. December will most likely be similar
to November because of holidays and other events.
Message Boards
I'm very pleased that the Message
Boards have improved in use dramatically, but still, only a small percentage
of our pilots use them, which will hopefully be fixed. One issue which
we will need to consider when usage picks up even more is whether we want
to make small financial contributions to stop the proliferation of advertisements
throughout our message boards.
Management Positions Available
SimAirline.net still needs to fill three
Fleet Manager positions, but with the lack of service provided for the
airlines affected by our labor shortage, we may be forced to restructure
our management to end download support on our website. If you're interested
in a position to prevent this from happening, please go here.
Downloads Section
The planned Downloads is under planning,
and will contain what we feel are necessary or highly recommended add-ons
or utilities to have on your system to enhance your experience with SimAirline.net.
We hope to open this section in January.
Fly-Ins/Events
We hope to be able to host fly-ins beginning
next month, starting with major cities with most of our airlines, and later
expanding to less prominent major airports and with individual airlines.
We also hope to be having real-life events in cities where we have large
pilot presences, like Brussels, London, and New York. Our plan is to have
meetings at local airports for aircraft spotting, and to possibly later
extend it to smaller, more personal events hosted by pilots in those areas.
Updated PIREP Forms
Our PIREP reforms have been extended to
Continental-KLM-Northwest, but not to Continental or Northwest yet. A completion
date has not yet been set, but we expect for the updates to be complete
by the end of the month.
As always, your support and feedback are
extremely important to SimAirline.net. Please feel free to contact me at
any time about any issues I discussed here, or any others you wish to discuss.
