Message from Aaron
2 October 2002
To All Of Our Pilots,
September was a good month, although not
as good as our two record-setting months prior to it. Our newly hired support
advisors are helping pilots with problems/questions about flying and add-ons,
and our new fleet managers are striving to provide you with the best-quality
add-ons for your needs directly from our site. Several are available now,
and more will be available in the near future. They will eventually have
downloads for aircraft, panels, and scenery available directly through
SimAirline.net, making flying for our airlines more convenient and enjoyable.
While our organization remains strong, we still have several important
issues that need to be addressed.
Swissair-Sabena Virtual
Swissair-Sabena remains the weakest of
our three virtual airlines, with little support from Belgian and Swiss
natives. Meanwhile, Virgin, bolstered by Virgin Express flights, made a
strong improvement over the previous few months. We are current still searching
for ways to correct the relative lack of support for Swissair-Sabena, although
any ideas you have to share would be greatly appreciated.
Message Boards
The Message
Boards were not frequently used during September, and despite having
nearly 70 pilots registered, activity is very low. If we want to keep this
important feature to the organization, it will have to be used. I expect
to make a decision on its future at the end of this month. Naturally, no
one person will cause a turnaround, but all 70 of us together can transform
the message boards from a second thought to an important part of our airline.
Management Positions Available
SimAirline.net currently needs to fill
nine positions within management. Further information is available here.
Roster Updates
I am entering an important period of my
education, as I am busy applying to college. Since I also plan on reforming
our PIREPs, roster updates will be less frequent and less predictable.
I understand your frustrations with this, and I sincerely apologize for
the inconvenience.
If you have any thoughts or questions about
these issues or anything else of concern, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for helping make SimAirline.net a success.
